Lunatica Solstice Playing Cards

A COLORFUL, MODERN AND FUN STYLE

Lunatica is a new series of cards with a colorful, modern and fun style. It is made by Thirdway Industries, designed by the Italian Giovanni Meroni and printed by US Playing Card Compagny. The main theme of this series is of course the Moon, but this is a two-sided theme. The most obvious is the most mythological and astral aspect: the satellite of the Earth. The hidden side is the psychological aspect: the Moon is also the symbol of Mercurial human emotion - it can change from sadness to happiness in the blink of an eye.

THE SUMMER SOLSTICE, THE WINTER SOLSTICE

The Solstice takes place twice a year, around June 21st and December 22nd. The day of the solstice is either the longest day of the year (summer solstice) or the shortest day of the year (winter solstice) for any place other than the equator. In Lunatica, the Solstice is the symbol of extreme imbalance, end and death.

FOCUSED ON CARDISTRY

Lunatica is Thirdway Industries' first project focused on cardistry: concentrating on cards in terms of design, ink and materials.
