Description
This spectacular deck is derived from the tales of the Nordic gods. It depicts the Viking Gods in all of their glory and all of the court cards were given an immense amount of attention to detail as well as the numbered cards. Each and every color has a meaning and each and every court card was specifically chosen.
The AEsir Gold deck distinguishes itself from the original blue and red decks by maintaining the original background color on the card's face. There was also some discussion in the comments about Thor, the King of Clubs, and his hair color. Was he a redhead or was he blond? In the blue deck he was blond and in the red deck he had red hair. And what about the Queen of Hearts? Nanna was the original Queen of Hearts but when she moved to the cover for the red deck Freya took her place. So what to do... you can't have two Kings of Clubs and two Queens of Hearts, can you? Fortunately, the fulfillment partners at Liberty Playing Cards (part of the Gambler's Warehouse group) offered 56-card decks. The two extra cards to include the second versions of the Queen of Hearts and King of Clubs so every card is included.
